Third row seats removal
Just wondering if anyone has removed the third row seats, were there any warnings on the cluster etc. or any problems doing it.
i am putting in drawers in the rear and was hoping to use the third row seat area to put the spare tyre so it can be accessible.
Am hoping to do it so it can be reversed in future

No harm in removal, and if you have a better tool, such as my Autel MP808, you can configure one component, I think it is the rear SAM, to tell it the seats are not installed.

I haven’t done it yet. Ended up lending car to daughter for 6 months but hopefully i get it back soon
I only have a autel diaglink so don’t know if it will clear.

Whatever errors you get will only show up in a scan. You don't get a dash message or anything like that.

Check out my thread on seats removal and cargo space construction. I am pleased with the whole thing.
Plus, I netted about $250 in the (barely) used seat motors.

I just saw it. Will read. I really just want to put drawers in back for tools etc. was worried about putting the spare wheel somewhere so the old seat space sounded ideal

I am curious how you are planning the drawers.
If they are two, lengthwise, it seems to me you would want or need some way to hold up the fore end of the drawer enclosure. Thus the frame I built would be useful.
I don't know how well the spare would fit in the 3rd row space, but don't really care because I like it where it is. I want to use the 3rd row space for things like rifles and ammo and the hi-lift jack.
In any event, yanking the seats is the first step.
