Unhappy P0022 Code and car won't start

Hi All,

I am new here and looking for guidance. My 2008 GL450 won't start and is reading an OBDII Code P0022. I replaced the 4x adjuster magnets as a start point to no avail.
Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Found this with a quick online search. Here are the possibilities.
  • Faulty Continuously Variable Valve Timing Solenoid
  • Continuously Variable Valve Timing Solenoid harness is open or shorted
  • Continuously Variable Valve Timing Solenoid circuit poor electrical connection
  • Mechanical Defect
  • Valve Timing

Thank you so much! I will verify the Camshaft Adjuster Solenoid/Oil Control Valve next. If not, I tow it to shop and take my chances.
