Dash cam install on rear window. Help!

So I installed the rear camera of my BlackVue DR770X Box on the back window. I ran the wiring through the right side wire tube.
Now I can't get either side of the tube seated again.
Any suggestions?

Thanks. I've added a couple pictures to my post. This tube holds wires going from the suv body into the rear hatch.

It’s just a rubber lip that needs to seat over the plastic grommet…might be easier to pull the grommet out not breaking the retaining clips and then seating the rubber bellow on it, reseat the grommet until it clicks in.

Thanks. That's what I've been doing. Just harder than it sounds due to lack of room.

Schmear some silicone grease on the inside of the rubber part, so the lip slides on.

Careful using petroleum grease, as it might degrade the rubber.

You have to remove the white part FIRST, then attach the rubber to the white part then reinstall into the vehicle.

That helped. Used grease made for rubber and plastic. Thanks! Plus the grease should also provide some added water seal protection.

Glad it worked for you.

FYI not all rubber is the same. Some is natural latex based, while others are synthetic. The former does not resist oil at all, while some of the latter do. To be safe, when you are dealing with unknown rubber, only use silicone based grease. Most cheap rubber, e.g. boots on wire looms, is latex.
