Battery Drain / Component Failure
Hello - I've encountered the dreaded battery drain issue. I've done a parasitic test and fuse 23 is the culprit - drawing 3 amps. My understanding is this is likely a failing component (Comand/RSE/Bluetooth/Sat Radio/?). Each of the components function as they should. Is the best next step to isolate the component by using a bypass for the MOST? Absent having a bypass handy is there any additional diagnosis I can do? I can leave 23 pulled, but that kills the sound for the audio system.

Get yourself a clamp-on DC multimeter and start patiently tracking down the source.

I eliminated the cd changer (tuirned it into covert pistol storage), and the satellite and phone modules (sold 'em on Ebay) because had no use for them and would rather cut any possible connections to the monsters that are trying to track us. So you can understand that my recommendation would be to power everything off and use the silence for good purposes.
The fact that people wanted to buy such modules indicates their vulnerability to failure. Whether that led to parasitic drain, I do not know.
If you are handy, you can fabricate an adapter to bypass a MOST component. Just put the two optic terminations up against each other. Otherwise, you can get bypass adapters for pretty cheap.
