Air springs

2007 gl 450
Air springs

Hi there

my vehicle was sitting low in the rear, so I thought I would replace the rear air springs and I did. Then started the car for the compressor to do its thing but rear was still sitting low. Did some research that the valve block could be bad, so I replaced that too and at the same time the air in the front struts deflated while taking off the lines in the block, so had new block installed, started the car and compressor would go on but the vehicle still won’t rise.

i did a air suspension reset with the car running and hold the air suspension button and the lights was flashing it then showed suspension rising in the dash, but vehicle was still low. It also showed an air suspension malfunction on dash. I scanned it and it came uomsirh 5508, 5507 codes.

These are the codes

And the two in red i guess are out of spec.


any advise would help. Thank you.

Put the original valve block back in
Use the computer to manually re-inflate the rears

Let it sit overnight and monitor sags

by you mean computer, with the scan tool?

and how much to inflate? What spec?

You have a good diagnostic tool - is it bidirectional? - and should be using it instead of changing components because someone told you to. Follow @Max Blast 's advice.

Run basic mechanical tests such as looking for leaks.

thank you
inflate it to where it sits level on a flat surface and measure the height of the wheel arch to the deck

your bidirectional tool should have that option
if it’s not bidirectional throw it away and get an Autel MB clone tool or an actual MB das tool

if it sags more than 10 cm in a day, then it’s out of spec
