Before I go on a tirade and get served with divorce papers, what exactly is behind the ashtray, after about 6 oz of water flushed right into the crevice between the bottom part of the ashtray and center wood trim with the cupholders? So far I have not heard any complaints about strange things occurring. I've asked to shut the Command off ASAP when that happens, but I'm concerned there is wiring to TCM and CAN Bus behind there.
Will update if something bad really happens, but any tips on what to look out for would be appreciated.
Thanks

It will take less than 10 minutes to remove the ash tray, command center and clean everything up.
wood panel preys up from the bottom.. ash tray out remove the 2 screws … command center has 2 screw than pull the metal tabs down … youtube video it.

Yup, amazingly simple to remove things. But the water is already gone - it's leaked down underneath the carpet. 6 oz is nothing to worry about - it's a tiny amount - it won't cause any issues and will evaporate pretty quickly.
Got quite a bit of water out. The wiring harness to the ashtray and cigarette lighter were saturated. I wrapped paper towels around it for absorption.
As of this morning, no strange electrical faults. I'll keep an eye on it still.
Thank you everyone for all your help
