Key Fob
I don`t know if he could do it remotely but it won`t hurt to check.

EIS creates magnetic field that is converted into DC current to energize key to start car. Batteries are there to unlock doors and roll down windows.
For “won’t work in ignition” issues it is best not to fiddle with batteries, it just adds confusion and additional opportunities to damage key.
KLG requires batteries but it is best to fix core issue. If key won’t work in EIS you start there and don’t even think about batteries.

Yes I understand the keyfob can start the car without the battery when the keyfob is placed in the marked spot or for those who have keyless go, to remove the push button start and insert then turn. it has an emergency key that you manually open the door when the fob battery is dead after all.
