Hey guys, I'm fairly new to Mercedes, I have a 2008 GL450. It started every now and again, have a slight lurch and the ESP light would flicker for a split second, but only about 50% of the time. The head unit would also restart every time it did this. I ran codes, and after clearing several old stored codes, just the 6001 code showed, see picture below. Any ideas what is causing this? The battery is less than a year old, so I doubt its that. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks.
Hook it up to a real Mercedes bidirectional scan tool, and report back.
SP error can sometimes be caused by failing or faulty wheel speed sensors. so if you don’t have that, then you got something else going on with the module itself perhaps a bad power supplier a bad ground or corroded contact.
