Sorry to hear about all the troubles bro. Hopefully that's the last of it. Good to know with the soft close they can just disconnect and use like a normal latch so less down time possibly...

First time MB owner and highly dissapointed with a new car with paper plates still on it to be in service for possibly 3 weeks or more.

2013 Suv of the year!!! no parts available.

is this commun for MB not a good way to start off!!

dealer tells me might be a redesign on the part.

is this common for MB
How about an update? Did you get it fixed?

rear latch parts came in 10 days ago but have not been able to get the car to the dealer. what is amazing to me is that it took them 2 weeks of having my car to ask me if i wanted to have the soft close disconnected so that it would work as a regular latch!! i would have taken that option the day i took the car in.

the dealer has agreed to pay a monthly payment on the lease. hopefully it gets solved when i take it in.

also in the last week or so the check engine light came on so i scanned it: came back with a vacuum leak, engine will stall sometimes in the morning when in reverse.

i am keeping track of all issues as well as time that car has been at dealer in case I need to lemon law it.

My car is 2 days old. Tachometer does not work. It shows "signs of life" when the car in parked idling, but when I put it to drive and start moving - it's dead. No big deal for me, but I think I'll wait couple more weeks till I go to service to fix it. Also, lower side of lumbar support on the driver seat does not work. The good part - it's a leased car, so this is MB headache.
