M-Class Cargo Tray for 2013 GL
found this on the net today, not a permanent fix but better than nothing for now...
Jesse Cannon Wallace- Atlanta Classic Cars: Mercedes-Benz does not currently have a cargo tray available for the 2013 GL-Class that works with the third row seat folded flat. I have found that the cargo tray for the 2006-2011 M-Class fits perfectly side to side and leaves just a small gap behind the second row seats. Don’t get the mat for the 2012 or newer M-Class…it is much too wide. Contact your local parts department to order.

What about the cargo liner from weathertech? I noticed today they have the floor liners for the 2013 GL. I wonder how the 2012 liner will fit in the 2013.

If they eventually offer a cargo mat that has a hinge that allows the third row to go up and down, I might consider it. However, since I rarely use the third seat it will probably not be worth doing.

Canvasback has already done the X166. Lots of flexibility. Not as good protection as a one-piece rubber tray.

I attached the screen shot of a section of the order confirmation. I ordered custom Lloyd Mats RubberTite Rubber Floor Mats for the 2013 GL450. With all of the snow sports and the mess, I like to use rubber mats in the Winter. There was a choice for the cargo area with selections for behind seconds seat with third folded or behind the third seat. I order the one for behind the second seat as I will rarely use the third seat. I also ordered the mats for the first and second rows. When I get them, I will post my review. They probably will get here in the second week of January.

The 2012 WT DigitalFits do not work well in the 2013 GL. The driver's front and full 2nd row might be acceptable for some but the fit is not perfect. I'm going to sell my 2012 set and just order the new 2013's now that they're available.
