A gaggle of MB's
See my comments in your other post - off-angle light, shadow, low light, night - Lunar Blue steps into very dark color...

This should be a really rare color to find.

I have had light color cars and dark color cars.......specifically with MB , the previous dark blue and now obsidian black....my new 2013 will be cinnabar red........ The degree of difficulty with regard to keeping the vehicle "clean" is all relative...... They all get dirty and its a matter of what shows . The advantage of the dark blues and blacks is that they DON'T show the dark specks of road gunk, bug splats, etc as easily as the lighter colors. The general day to day dirt is more easily "not seen" on the lighter colors....... When you wash the dark blue or the black the result is "spectacularly clean" look.....when you wash the lighter colors they don't "pop" as much because, again, the everyday dirt was not as evident. For me...... The road gunk is my enemy, I prefer the darker colors in order that some of that stuff is not so obvious ...... I am a bit concerned that my new cinnabar red IS going to be more of an issue with that.

The cinnabar is actually not too bad, even when quite dirty doesn't look that bad. I have been surprised.

Good to hear! I was just so impressed by the look of that color that I went ahead an ordered one in cinnabar with black leather inside! If I hadn't been "smitten", I probably would have gone with obsidian black again.

Einszett Glanz Wax (Blue Top) on new MB paint, nano-wax spray as needed as top coat for lustre.. way affordable, no orbitals to buy, just hard to reach the center deck lid and the center roof... keeps the grungy stuff rolling off..

On the contrary I have an even older version of your blue color, Azure Blue and it also looks purplish in the sun which I love. It gives the paint so much more depth. I got a loaner car in Lunar Blue and it also has a slight purplish effect in the sun that I think looks great as well.

So as always, color is very subjective.

In terms of keeping clean it's fine. It is a darker color so it's going to show rain splashes and dirt more than a lighter color like silver. But I wouldn't say "hard to keep clean" all you have to do is wash it!
