Two schools
There are two schools:
1) Old School - follow the attached break in instructions from MB
2) "New" School - follow the RPM cap, and downshift cap, but feel free to drive the sh*t out of your truck at strongly varying speeds within those parameters.
Both schools - do not do any homebrew/too-old-school brake pad "bedding" - those full brake long deals from 65-15 unless emergency traffic density requires.
Both schools - go the the full term on the initial 10K oil interval - but check oil at 2500-5000-7500 - top off (not overfill) as required. The factory "oil" is a break in formula.
Enjoy !

lol- thats exactly where i declared too- right at around 1300miles- thats the first time i tried out the paddles on the 13...
i think first 1000 is important and prolly better to take it relatively easy till 10000/1st service
