Jumpy Transmission

I live on a slight to moderate incline. When I take off uphill first thing in the morning under light acceleration the transmission will jump up and down between gears about 4x in the first 50 60 yards. Not what I would expect from an $80K vehicle....or any new vehicle for that matter.

Anyone have any intel on this?

I live in S. Cal and my vehicle is a 2013 GL350.

If I start out with mine first thing in the am and go uphill .... it stays in a lower gear until i reach a level area and then it upshifts .... only downshifts if i slow down and then have another uphill climb .... im talking slow speed as im dealing with a long one lane driveway. I do not have multiple up and down shifts while graduallly ascending the first hill or at any other time for that matter. GL450
