Maximum distance on one tank GL350

For those have have the GL350, which is the max range you were able to get on one tank... first fill up yesterday for me at about 644km (400 miles) when the light came on, when I filled up based on on a 100 liter tank we filled 94 liters, which means 6 liters left, that would put me in a maximum range of 700-720 (435-447 miles).... The on-board computer states 991 (615 miles) km to the tank when full. MB advertises max range of 1000 km or about 621 miles which I do not see as doable in any city environment, the fuel economy is better and noticeable than the last gen though, for us it requires refueling about 10-15 days later versus before. The off line acceleration is also night and day compared to last gen.

Other info: car states average of 14 liters per 100 km based on approximately 38 hours of drive time. MB states 11.9/8.6, Fueleconomy.gov states 525 miles which makes more sense.
mix highway/city driving, mainly city, reved no higher than 2500 rpm (99% of the time between 1900 and 2100)

I don't really push range per tank, usually filling up when it gets down to about 1/4 of a tank. I just did a small trip this weekend with it. I checked the computer for mileage since the last fill and it showed 25.3 mpg. Assuming the 26.4 gallon tank we have in the US, that would get me well over 600 miles per tank. But that was mostly highway miles in the 73-76 mph range.

If we turned it around and said 621 miles per tank, and divide by 26.4 that says if you need to average 23.5 mpg. That seems doable in mixed driving, but probably not doable with significant city driving.
