2013 GL450
2012 vs 2013

I'm on vacation with the family and as luck would have it I was able to upgrade the rental car to a 2012 GL450. It certainly works well for the four of us and all of our stuff but my wife and I can't help but notice how much better the 2013 design is. The car I'm renting has mostly standard features and is in good condition, but it is nothing like my 2013 at home. I find the Comand system in the 2012 much harder to use without the knob in the center console. The car also steers much more like a truck than mine. I had never looked at a 2012 when I started shopping last fall. What a difference! Now I'm really glad I bought this year.

I know this isn't new info for most of you. Just thought I'd share my thoughts.

Thanks for the feedback, I jumped from a 2007 and the difference is quite remarkable. Interesting that it's even noticeable from a 2012 to a 2013.

The 1st gen ( 07 thru 12 ) and the 2nd gen of the GL are definitely two different animals!
