Satin Ash trim Question
I have spec'd a '14 GL350 with this special order trim, but am wondering how closely the wood steering wheel option will match that as I spec'd it as well.
I had assumed a satin ash steering wheel too, but saw a pic on BMWBlog that made me question if it will match?
Sorry this is the best I could do transferring the pic on my iPad (and I know subject photo is of ML).

Look in this thread for the links called pic1 and pic2, I think they have about the best photos I've seen. There appears to be some shine to the wood wheel, perhaps the satin wouldn't hold up to the oils from hands?

the steering wood in pics looks different- this was my concern too before I got mine..
it doesnt really have an extra sheen- its just smoother cuz its the steering wheel- its matte finish - only slight difference is that it does not have that natural open pore feel as you would not want that on a steering wheel- but it Definitely feels more natural than the high-gloss finish ones like the Burl walnut or other finishes - its a very different and comfortable feel and looks very nice and matches the color as the rest..
