Auburn Brown Leather with Dakota Brown Exterior?
Here are the 3 combos I'm considering:
1. Dakota Brown Exterior with Auburn Brown Leather
2. Dakota Brown Exterior with Black Leather
3. Lunar Blue Exterior with Auburn Brown Leather
Concerned the Brown on Brown may look a little goofy.
Dakota Brown with Almond is quite good, but not stunning as Auburn Brwon, but a very attactive Spring/Summer combo
Dakota Brown with Black - not my thing.
Lunar Blue with Auburn - not my thing - plus I am not real enthusiatic about Lunar Blue, looks great in bright light, but in off-angle light, and in shadow or night, to me too dark.
Keep the beat !
Does the Auburn Brown look reddish or is it more chocolate? Are these pics a fairly good representation of the true color (please note I am not getting designo as shown in the pics - I will be getting standard leather).

It's just an interior that uses two colors- brown and black. But I would classify it as complementary colors rather than a two tone per se which I deem more like a seat that has two colors within the seating surface.
I have attached a good representation from the Dealer Order Guide.
Just don't forget - Designo Black is stupendous both look and feel - and I am not normally a black interior guy

On "feel" I am just daying the D-Black has this smoothness to it, especially on the quilted portion - frankly the sexiest leather I have experienced in a long time.
On D-Porcelain - very sharp look and feel, but the D-Black just has something a little extra in feel that in comparison makes the D-Por feel a little "drier".
The D-Brown gives a "fuller" standard luxury leather feel.. very rich appeal for a more "natural" leather look.
I am not trying to "sell" anyone one way or another - color is a personal choice - and due to the dye and tanning process between colors a slightly different feel is to be expectcd.
Just trying to help - keep the beat !
Of the GL Designo interiors - personally - Black Designo matched with Black Piano Lacquer trim and Piano Lacquer wheel is to die for.
Designo Auburn, with Satin Ash makes a very distinctive interior cabin statement - especially if your personal taste runs to Vuitton or similar in your personal accessory statement.
Dakota Brown exterior - distinctive and "warm" exterior color - you either love it or not.
What is a bit unusual in ownership sense - my daughter has a special GLK originally ordered by MBUSA VP but German working here to his personal spec - probably the most loaded GLK ever - on her end a $61K GLK (yes, Distornic Plus, etc) - not Designo but with with Brown premium leather interior in exterior Iridium Silver - sounds yucky - but frankly a very elegant combo to own/enjoy.
My point here is I would have never thought that silver/brown combo would be as pleasant to own/drive as it really is - wouldn't have struck me that way if I was to build.
With Auburn Designo - distinctive cabin statement with Satin Ash - which I think is buildable - I wouldn't dismiss Iridium Silver as a exterior choice - based on my experience with my daughters GLK
Just my thoughts..
It's not exactly the same but I came across this matrix of designo colors for the CLS (http://www.benzblogger.com/wp-conten...gno-matrix.jpg) and it does show the auburn brown as a recommended combination with a gray/silverish exterior.
It also looks like there are 2 new silver options for 2014 and maybe the Palladium Silver would be even better.
