Adaptive Damping-to order or no?

The order status of my 2014 GL350BT is yellow, so changes are not even likely to be accepted as I have a build date of 8/20, but I have a question:

Does anyone have Adaptive Damping WITHOUT Active Curve? I am not interested in Active Curve but cannot find much written on adaptive damping alone...the E500 I had in 05 had the comfort/sport button with an obviously more primitive form of AD, and I couldn't really tell much of a difference in comfort and sport.

Thoughts?
Cheers!

I have active damping as part of the ON/OFF road package...... I very much like the active aspect ...... it allows YOU to manually change the comfort/sport level AND automatically adapts to road condtions and speed. I would not be without it on a vehicle of this size.
