Text Messaging feature?
Have a 2014 GL 350 and I see options about text messages, but then notice it is not highlighted...meaning it's sort of greyed out. I can't seem to click on it. Anyone know if this feature can be used through your bluetooth phone etc?
Thanks!
Thanks!

you have to turn on 'notifications' in bluetooth/options/settings on the phone..
its a great feature to have. while driving you cant read it on command but it will speak it out and you can reply to the txt by voice and dont need to type

Have not figured out how to reply using voice. How do you initiate that function?

Sraza-that worked! Thanks so much for your help. It's exactly what I needed to have it work. I don't know how to use the voice activated, but I think I can figure that one out. It was just syncing the phone correctly.

no probs--
as for voice texting, just use the voice control on the phone and it will work off the bluetooth phone-car connection.. just speak as you would if on the phone and when text appears on the phone screen hit send..
make the whole process alot easier..
also its entertaining to hear the texts recieved--

Tried it works great... nice feature. Had no idea. The little envelop appears on your screen and then you can read when at full stop. Never have to pull your phone out. Which again you shouldn't do anyway.
