Interior Mat dimensions-2014 vs. 2013?

I ordered the factory MB mats for the interior, but still need a cargo mat. Are the dimensions in the 2014 model the same as for the 2013's? The custom fit mats I'm finding online only list compatibility with the 2013 models and don't show 2014 yet.

I think I'll need mats to fit the cargo area both with and without the 3rd row down. Anyone know if there is a sliding adjustable hard mat like the Acura's have? Or a two piece? Or am I better off just ordering two mats? Was thinking of a flexible one if that's the case, so if I'm somewhere and need to flip he 3rd row up I can just fold it back in a pinch. Or maybe a slit mat that allows the seat to flip up, but I haven't found one yet.

Any suggestions appreciated...

Just an FYI if you are getting the MB all weather floor mats too they are made by WeatherTech. So unless you are getting the parts at cost, it's much cheaper to get them directly through WeatherTech.

I've asked my dealer and was told MB doesn't have the cargo liner that offers the flexibility of folding to accommodate the third row.

I can take a picture of mine if you want to see what it looks like.

We ordered them from our dealer and they were about the same price as getting them from WeatherTech. Are they rigid? I'm thinking for the cargo liner I will like something thinner that I can roll up for storage or that won't damage the power seat if the kids accidentally hit the third row button, and then also get the smaller one for when we use the third row. Our three oldest boys drive now so it isn't too often we are all in the same vehicle.

The rear liner I ordered was from my dealer as well. However I found out that I paid about $100 more.

This is the one by WeatherTech for $129. I paid over $200 for mine via the dealer.

That looks nice. Can it be rolled up at all or is it fairly rigid? I was thinking of the Lloyds RubberTite for the cargo area so I could easily roll up and switch between the short and long liners depending on if I'm using the 3rd row or not.

My dealer is charging me $175 for the MB 1st & 2nd row mat kit, plus $50 for the 3rd row from WeatherTech (MB doesn't offer the 3rd row for some reason). That's cheaper than what I could get it for online, so I'm happy.

I love the Lloyds Luxe carpeted ones I have in my Escalade. They've held up well and feel so plush, and the embroidered logo looks great. But they don't offer the MB logo. Bummer! Must be a licensing thing. I do like a carpeted mat in the summer. Are the factory carpeted mats pretty basic?

Just to clarify, with the Weather Tech you can raise the third row seats with the liner in place?

No, they don't offer that either. I was hoping to find a company that made one like that, but no luck so far.

Looks like they do. Check the vedios under following link. Have you confirmed with them ?

They make two different sized cargo liners (3rd row up or 3rd row down), but I meant that I had been hoping to find one that was adjustable, either sliding together or with a split design that would fold back with the seat.

I guess I'll just end up getting both cargo sizes. But I think I'll do a more flexible one so it will roll up and store easily.

You might want to look into the Canvasback liners for the rear. They aren't as weatherproof as the Weathertechs, but I like mine because it has no interference with the 3rd row seats.

Thank you for the link! That's another good option. Did you have to use a lot of velcro?

In the X164 (2007-2012 models) the hooks of the velcro caught on the MB carpet, so it was a perfect system. On the 2013 model they no longer grab, so you do have to use velcro tape on the carpet. I haven't pulled it up to see if it leaves a mark or not.

I haven't heard about the 2014 models, but assume it's the same as the 2013 carpet and would require velcro.

Yes you are correct following is the response I got from WeatherTech. I have already ask them whether they have plans to make proper folding cargo liner and waiting for response.

"Thank you for contacting MacNeil Automotive WeatherTech. We have two cargo liners for your vehicle. We have a liner that goes behind the 2nd row and the other goes behind the 3rd row. The liner that is installed behind the 3rd row does not fold to allow the 3rd row seats to be up. You can occasionally flop it over and use the 3rd row seats for a short period of time, but we do not recommend doing it for any extended periods, as it will distort the fit of the cargo liner."

Mine (MB branded digifit) snaps in if you remove carpet liner.

Cargo liner shape

I ordered two cargo liners by Lloyd's Rubbertite: the small (behind 3rd row) and the medium (behind 2nd row) for my GL450 that's being built next week. I got them, but they don't match up on the same end (end closest the rear liftgate). Since I don't have my vehicle to try it in, can someone tell me which one is cut wrong? I probably won't have the vehicle for 3 weeks.

The smaller one is symmetrical on both sides. The large one seems to match up with it on the left (driver) side, but the right side is cut unevenly. I'll attach a photo of both.

Any help from those of you with a '13 or '14 model would be appreciated! My dealer does not have any in stock. I hate to wait until the vehicle is here to return it, because then it will be several more weeks with returning and reordering and I live in a winter climate.

hotgl450,

Is this a 2013 or 2014 in your photo? Trying to figure out if the one they sent me is the wrong one because it's oddly cut on one side and not the other.
