Just re-read my email from my dealer:
"I have the added the Rear Side Air Bags (option code 293). It is a No Charge Option."

I had also read that on these forums prior to adding. I hadn't realized they weren't included as they were on the 2013. Guess your dealer is marking it up?



Ill give him a call tomorrow he said when we added it it drove the price up.
He also said that if MB increases price on it they will charge me.

Wow !!! That's BS given the fact MY14 GL has no Headlight cleaning system and Power rear quater Window.

when I initially placed order there was no charge for rear air bags. Called monday to add them and thats when the charge appeared. he said it would apply to any order not FILLED. So what that means is if you have not gotten your vehicle they will charge 420 at delivery.
Makes no sense but thats what he said.

 

sounds like the charge is at the factory...if I want the bags it had the "dreaded" $250 Special Order charge...

the dealer is checking on the rear 1/4 windows , they believe they come standard with the pano roof but are checking...

as my guy said, "MB's are not an easy product to understand"

 

My production date was last Thursday 10/31. Haven't gotten the vehicle yet, but hope the dealer doesn't try to charge me. I doubt it, since I have a signed build price and an email from my dealer confirming it was a no-charge option. They only knocked off 3% from MSRP on $85K vehicle so it's not like they don't have some room on it.

Yes, I ordered the DriverAssist package (Distronic, etc) plus the Parking Assist. The rear 1/4 windows got added along with the Pano. Not sure if it was automatic or if dealer had to to select it, but it's on my build sheet.
Have a road trip coming up in a few days, but it looks like it won't here before then to be able to try it all out. Oh, well!
