surround camera adds another $320 or so and gets you the 360 degree and aerial camera views which is helpful.
it is not included in the park assist but added on to the park assist "package" for another $320.
3 zone A/C is nice if you plan to have passengers in the back on a regular basis. it adds vents on the sides of rear doors, and also 4 more vents in the ceiling for 2nd and 3rd row. without 3-zone, the only rear vents are the ones you have in the 2nd row behind the center storage armrest.
appearance package is personal preference, however i do find the lighted running boards to be very handy with young children, older adults and women.

With the pano, you can get the power rear quarter windows but I think it has to be specified (no charge though), option 848. I also added option 293 Rear Side airbags (also no charge).
I got the appearance package to have the larger wheels and the running boards for kids and to make 3rd row entry/exit easier (or accessing roof carrier). Do you need a hitch?
For sure the Parking Assist w/surround view. I also added Distronic on the advice of people here.
Hope to have mine within two weeks. The production date was last Thursday.

Though about the following and the reasons I passed - always a $ budget trade off as well - "if I don't get that I can get this":
Don't need hitch for forseeable future
We are in Florida so don't need back row heated seats, but did get front ventilated and heat for my back will be nice.
Debated on third seat climate controls, we have a third row control now in our LR 4 and although I know you get more vents, it just, to me, becomes a battle of trying to get temp right for everyone and 1/2 the trip is explaining how to set it (friends in car) and then it's too hot/ too cold because the person setting it didn't get it right and "how do i make go on the floor"...maybe I am a control freak, but just leave it up to me...HAH
I also went back and forth on wheels and running boards, but I decided to go for gadgets and interior stuff over exterior stuff (strictly a $ decision).

1) Ditto make sure Parking Assist WITH Surround View Camera
2) Florida - add 3rd zone climate control - and with MB system driver/front row can have total control (no zone) - or you can choose to give rear control to 2nd row passengers (Zone)
3) Appearance Package - yes, most def if you are having Desgno interior - don't short change exterior "top value" appearance package

I would add trailer hitch. Even if you don't need it today - tomorrow you can decide to take couple bicycles with you. It cost only about $600 when you order your car, but about $1800 to install it later. The other reason to have it is resale value. Many people get this truck to tow something and your car will be out of their picture.
Good Luck.
Good Luck.

On the wrapped dash - do you have a code for that... on the designo door panel it has the diamond stitch, would you know if it it also would have the wrapped dash stitching?

Thank you all for your advice. OK, added surround View Camera (P44, 235 & 501). Waiting on response from dealer on vented rear windows and rear air bags.
Is the overall consensus that the Appearance Package is a must have?

I think the lower wrapped option is hidden deep in the stand alone option list, I did my Homework when buying by GL and I had no clue about the lower wrapped dash either

Yes you want the appearance package, dollars for dollars its worth every penny (although not as good as the sport package we get in Canada). Might also wanna get AMG door pins, $40 installed

I don't see the appearance package on the website. What does it include? We ordered the larger wheels and the illuminated running boards, but don't see an option for "appearance package".

it used to be running boards, larger 20" wheels and the rear bumper and exhaust surround was a little different.

yes very cheap. black plastic that looks like it came out of a crappy injection mold that left a seam on length of the pin.
to be fair though i rarely notice it. but AMG pins are wayyy nicer. just not sure worth the cost after the fact. kind of a rip off.

Guess I will add the pins, too. Wow, that's really nickel and dime-ing from MB.

"I have the added the Rear Side Air Bags (option code 293). It is a No Charge Option."
I had also read that on these forums prior to adding. I hadn't realized they weren't included as they were on the 2013. Guess your dealer is marking it up?

Can the pins be swapped after the fact? By dealer or self?
