Hi just recently received my new GL63

I also did the renntech upgrade and is a really amazing upgrade, as you know the car always starts on 2nd gear in comfort mode, and with the upgrade it feels faster than in sport mode which starts in 1st gear. You really have to feather the throttle.
I have the amg door pins on order, and just got the cargo mat on it.
I did get almost every option on it, and the sound system is quite worth it.
This is truly the best 3 row seater there is.

14' 550GL, 14' 350E Wagon, 82' 380SL
I like how they differ the designo auburn brown in the 63 versus the other models, i like them both, ours (550) have the diamond shaped pattern versus yours straight line. Congrats to a great looking car!

I'm curious about the Renntech upgrade? If you were looking for speed... Why drive in C mode...that is really for bad weather and your wife... The shift points are much lower and the steering has a different ratio...
So in S ... What differences?

Renntech adds 83hp on the ecu upgrade alone, I also did the spark plugs and the air filter which the air filter should add a little more, so it is a very noticeble upgrade.
The difference in c and s driving programs is pronounced as well. Since in c mode you always start in 2nd gear, the transmission upshifts happen very early to keep rpm low, it also dowshift very late, as weel as keeps the eco mode on unles you turn it off. Also the traction control is more sensitive.
On s mode you always start in 1st gear, the upshifting occurs almost at redline, the downshifting is very agresive whe you slow down, this makes the engine noise growls when you aproach a stop.
I have only driven it q couple of times, since the upgrade, I will keep you guys posted.
I just got the vbox sport, so I will time the gl63 a '14 flying spur a '12 Aston martin rapide and a '11 cayenne turbo
