Best finance rate for purchase
GL350 is almost here.
Has anyone financed through Mercedes Benz?
Chase is giving me 2.48% on 24-48 months.
Anyone get a good rate from MB?

I got 1.24 % for 48-60 mo from Penfed credit union. They also have a car buying service with a fleet discount ($2k). You don't have to be in the military to join (you can donate a small amount of $ when u sign up).

Best I see at PenFed is 1.99%. I Joined and put an application through. My credit is Excellent. How did you manage 1.24%?

Take the PennFed into the dealer and have them meet competitive with Mercedes benz Financial - you need to check your "net rate" after direct-deposit-discount if that is offered by the lender

The rate is lower when you go through the car buying service plus you get the fleet discount. I just logged on Penfed and the car buying service rate is 0.99% for up to 48 mo. I got my car in sept and the rate was 1.24%. However, the rate you get depends on when you take delivery, not when you apply for the loan. When I applied it was 0.99%, but it went up to 1.24% the month I took delivery

I did that and have done it previously with success. However, this time my dealer said they couldn't come close to matching it thru mb financial or any other bank.

I am not using the PenFed car buying service so I can't get that .99% rate.
The difference between 1.99 and 2.48 over 3 years is only $500. I suspect MB will try to beat the 2.48 Chase quote not the 1.99 Pen Fed rate. Either or it's cheap money and it's not worth removing invested money to pay for the truck.

2.48% is new from Chase. 3.13 less .25 for direct pay =from checking less .25 for Private client less .15 for loan more than $30,000.

My GL is arriving next week or so. I am PenFed member. How do u get the fleet discount. Do u just provide your info to the dealer to verify and they apply the fleet discount or do u get an actual certificate from the car buying service?
Thanks
Thanks

Go to the car buying service link on Penfed- you enter your zip and spec the car with the options you ordered, then print the certificate and bring it with you when you pick up your car.

If you have been in the military or have family in the military, there is no fee to join the credit union. However, unlike USAA, there is also an option to donate money to the military, which is another way u can join. You are prompted to do this when u complete the online application. I think the minimum to join when I did so a few yrs ago was around $50.
