mercedes roof box 450 for GL350
I HAVE BOUGHT 2013 GL350 WDC1668236M002095 AND WANT TO ORDER OUT MERCEDES BASIC CARRIER BARS WITH ROOF BOX 450 WITH ITS LUGGAGE SET . DOES ANY ONE HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE WITH THESE PRODUCTS. I DONOT WANT TO TRY OUT THULE OR ANY OTHER BECAUSE I BELIEVE MERCEDES WOULD HAVE TRIED TO TEST THEIR SYSTEM BEFORE PUTTING INTHE MARKET. I HAVE PANO ROOF INMY CAR. ML 350
I purchased the roof box 450 with my ML350. You also have to purchase the basic mounting bars as well (about $300). It took me about an hour to read the instructions and mount it. You will definitely need two people to mount it. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of stuff, I was able to cram into it. I'm very happy with the purchase, it looks great and doesn't add much compartment noise on the highway at 70MPH. Roof Box storage is my next problem. I'm trying to create a lifting system to store it on my garage ceiling.

hi can you send me picture of your SUV how it looks with roof Box fitted.I also want to know how did you fix it. I mean did you first fix the mounting bars to the roof box and then took entire thing to the top and fixed it or not. Does your Car have a panoramic roof ? I am sure you must be driving on highways at a speed more than 70mph and does it make noise which you do not like. Give me these finer details and oblige.
