Try some LED bulb replacements for the reversing/license plate lights. I'd contact AZNOptics on this forum since he has bulbs designed specifically for these cars without getting the dreaded "light out" warning on the dash. I put some LEDs on my license plate lights (on the R) and my backup camera is quite bright at night.

I really look forward to learn the outcome. The night time view of the camera system is just terrible. I love the 360 camera setup during the day, but I've never had a car so bad at night time....

Got the bulbs…..the installation is going to be a challenge because the "backup" lights are contained in the portion of the light assembly that is in the liftgate. I have studied the assembly and there is no access……the assembly has to be removed from the liftgate……I am waiting to talk to my service tech before I attempt that…..looks like some plastic clips holding it in place and "gentle" tugs, pushes, etc. have not done anything!
