Creaking from chassis flex...

I don't think my '16 GL550 has double pane front window glass. It doesn't have that ridge at the glass edge that you typically see with dual pane glass. My RRS had it. My GL glass is completely smooth at the top edge.
The last spec I could find on this feature was from a '14 GL brochure. No mention of this feature since.
Can anyone with a '15 or '16 verify?
Either my glass is and doesn't have that ridge characteristic of Mercedes decided to change the glass with accoutic coating instead.

If you clean all the door weather strips and window channel runs and apply a very light coat of DuPont MS1040101 GPL104 Krytox Oil, 180cST Viscosity, 20 Degree C to them the creaking will be gone. Make sure to do the rear quarter windows as well.

I just bought an x166 (2013 gl350) and have the creaking. I just did the door / window seals but have tracked the worst offender to the center console / cup holder area. Does anyone have instructions on how to take apart the center console so I can chase after the culprit of the squeaks?

Both our CPO's, a '14 ML350 and '14 GL450 creak going in and out of our driveway. It's kinda like a compound curve, where only one wheel at a time leaves the or enters the drive, forcing some real flex. Once out, no creaking from anywhere, including the center console. I think that the cabin is so quiet otherwise that the creaks seem loud because there's no other noise to drown them out. I think the culprit is the outer door seals. When I have a moment I will try to isolate the loudest door and spray the seal with Dupont silicone spray which goes on dry. I'll report back.......

I found that just waxing the top part of the door jamb, where the top velvety door seal touches, works best to eliminate creaking from chassis flex. Anything that makes the paint smoother will work - armorall, wd-40 etc, but wax lasts the longest.
Haven't tried any silicone sprays.

I find the opposite. Instead I use a soapy (cheap dish soap or environmentally safe dish soap) solution (water and soap) along the velvety door seal stops the squeaking.
