Current ELW and Prepaid maintenance pricing and Appearance package
Also, has anyone here bought Mercedes-Benz First Class Appearance Package. My dealer quoted me price of $2845 (probably MSRP)
https://www.mbfs.com/mbfsr/en/faqs/f...sAppearance.do
As per MBFS website, It includes
This comprehensive protection plan consists of:
First Class Wheel and Tire Protection "Plus"
• All costs associated with replacement of wheels and tires due to a covered road hazard,* plus wheel repair for most scrapes, scratches and other
cosmetic damages
• Unlimited number of service visits allowed
First Class Paintless Dent Repair
• Non-invasive repair of minor dents and dings
• Unlimited number of service visits allowed
First Class Windshield Replacement
• Covers all costs associated with replacement of a front windshield due to damage from unavoidable road hazards
• Maximum total benefit $5000
I also read that the best way to handle prepaid mnt is to take your car in and pay for the first maintenance. At that point you qualify for used car pricing. You should then buy a package for service 2-4, then pay for 5 and lastly buy a package for 6-8.
I did not explore the appearance or tire stuff.
I didn't buy any tire warranties, have a leaky sidewall now at 23,000 miles, go in this afternoon but I'm expecting to come out owning 4 new Perelli's.
Dan Boone of Mercedes Benz of Austin
Erin Mahre of MB of Santa Rosa
Jeff Jackson at Tafel Motors.
Only Jeff replied and offered me a decent discount which was consistent with what others here were reporting. I bought 6/75K miles ELW and First Class Wheel and Tire Protection Plus plan. Intrestingly, the MSRP he quoted was $500 less than what my dealer was offering me. The whole transaction went quickly and smoothly.
If anyone else here is interested than feel free to contact him. He is also a member on this forum.

Of course, if you get enough of a discount, you're probably ok.
If you have maintenance with other makes, make sure you understand what is included. It's way different than BMW for instance which covered my brakes & windshield wipers, for instance, that isn't included with MB.
"Best" savings can come purchasing a 20K or 30K pack AFTER 10K service and BEFORE 20K service... example 10K/20K/30K is A+B+A, under after 10K/before 20K - same threepack same cost becomes B+A+B.. and under each B service prepaid maintenance also pays for "recommended items" as well including wipers, cabin filters, a whole shebang of stuff depending on gasser/BlueTech
