10,000 Mile Service GL350 BT
Had my 2014 GL350 BT serviced today. Bill came to $471.03 with a $25 discount certificate, so close to $500. Wow.
They did the standard 10k scheduled services and I asked to have my wheels balanced and rotated for an additional $69.95 + tax.
Parts were $165 and labor $177.50, plus some misc dust filter and filter insert. I asked them specifically not to add the DEF as I have taken care of that but sure enough reviewing the bill they charged $44.25 for Adblue. No Qty is given so I assume they have some sort of flat charges for the 10k service.
I'm spoiled by BMW. Haven't spent a dime with 74k miles. I did prepay the 50k to 100k extended service though. But first 50k was no charge.
I suppose it is to be expected when you buy a MB, no?

It is 4 years/50k miles whichever occurs first. That will be equivalent to (2) schedule A and (2) schedule B intervals on the MB. Worth a pretty penny.

If you are planning to own your MB BT past 40K miles - so you know consider purchasing a 30K Prepaid Service before your 20K service
Yes - on BlueTech pricey - but buying before checkin at 20K - a 30K pack gets you 20K/B+ and 30K/A that you had at 10K - and then the 40K/B++ which includes added filters from 20K PLUS tranny service...

Fabbris,
What would you estimate that to be? I recall at purchase they offered several options but I of course chose not to take it. At the time some were saying the DEF was being charged at about $200, but it appears that is grossly overstated. Mine was $45.
Trying to decipher the invoice:
Service A appears to be $368.23 (Parts and Labor) which includes $44.25 for the Adblue, $75.60 engine oil (9 qts Mobil 1 ESP 5W40), $13.00 oil filter and $30.98 dust filter.
Tire balance/rotation was $69.95.
Overall it appears to be reasonable other than the DEF I asked them not to add. I assume the $44.25 for Adblue was based on the actual amount used (perhaps 2 gals?).
Is the $368.23 for Service A in line with what they advertise?
