Has anyone purchased wheels to allow for a longer lasting or all terrain tire?
I was wondering if anyone here has switched out their OEM wheels to allow for more tire options (longer lasting tires).
Also, has anyone tried to put all terrain tires on for off road situations (I'm talking rougher terrain, not rock climbing)?
I'm specifically interested in experiences with a 550, but I'd be interested in any help.
Thank you for any responses

You might reevaluate your mission... Consider one with the off-road package... Or a G wagon.
Changing from low profile tires will negate all the performance built into a 550.... You could always buy a 450/ 350 and use that as a platform to start from...
Or buy dedicated Pirelli winter scorpion and swap back and forth.... I can go through 16" snow with ease in my AMG 63 and it's 4 matic is locked 40/60... A 550/450 has a much better system and is quite capable.
Just my 2 cents...

ADV7 is the model ... they are custom. if you have a serious interest.. best to talk with Michael as a fair amount of design goes into them to get the nice concave staggered look though the tires are the same all the way around. The ML/GL hubs stick out pretty far and don't really give you many options for cool looking wheels.. so they get the good look by playing with the offsets for the wheel and then for the offset setup within the wheel itself for the pad where you have the lug nuts.
funny.... the new Hellcat comes with wheels that look very similar...
