Build time Start to Finish

Today I was told by my dealer that my GL 350 manufacturing date is 10/20/14. Anybody out there shed any light on
1. How long does it take start to finish? I've read 34 hours on this forum.
2. Is it reasonable to anticipate delivery the following week (10/27) considering that I live in Ohio?

Not likely, Fab can give you the real scoop, but I think you have to go through 3 events - build, staging, shipment. I would guestimate around middle of November, maybe a little before.

Mid Nov is not a problem other than I'm leaving town 10/28 returning 11/12 (dates are firm). Taking a road trip which will result in another 2500 miles on my trade vehicle. Somewhat concerned about a reduction in trade value although dealer says he accounted for that up front. I do have a signed purchase agreement which specifies a trade value for my 2013 Audi S6.
Anyway, it would be nice to have the GL for my road trip but it's not like I don't
have a nice car to drive in the interim. Good problem to have I suppose.

Many thanks to Jim - and accurate breakdown of the "stages" - 10/20 production date - more or less for Ohio would target dealer deliver a bit after you return from your trip.

Which - should be about the same "target" delivery date given as a estimate to you by your dealer..

i am in N CA and they are telling me 30-45 days from build to delivery
it's killing me - i think we are scheduled for first week of Nov.

Location has a pretty big impact on time. They ship from Vance Alabama. California is a long ways away.
