Seeking a Dealer Referral
Hello all, I will be placing an order for a 2015 GL550 in January or February and am looking for a dealer who is willing to work with me on price. I'm in Houston and it appears the only discounts available are Fleet (which I qualify for) but I'm not finding anything like the 7-8% discounts I'm reading about on the forum.
I have purchased many BMWs and know how to get a great deal, unfortunately I don't have the same information on Mercedes yet. Any help you can provide would be very much appreciated!

Frankly - my comment is when you are shopping for "delivery" - since GL550's will remain quite tight/tight in dealer availability - dealer allocations thru mid-Feb have already been done - meaning a dealer knows now what they may have available - and no more than what is in the avail module.
If you want Jan or Feb delivery - best to shop now.
The advantage to build is that you can get the exact color/features that you value - and "discount" on a build will run lower than potential "discount" on rarer intock GL550/GL350.
That said - I happen to have gotten in this week a 2013 GL550 - Designo black interior - "loaded" meaning every/every option including B&O, Night View, I mean all - like 28K miles - will be CPO/perfect - my customer picked up a new S63 from me and a special order Jeep Brute 6.4
If you want Jan or Feb delivery - best to shop now.

Thanks for the info guys, I think I want to go new, but I'm open to pre-owned at a heavy discount. I really don't want much in terms of options and am looking at a sticker price of $93.5K on a new one.
Again, if anyone has a dealer they are happy working with, I'm all ears - would prefer to work with someone with a proven track record.

Sorry - can't help you in Houston.
I wouldn't necessarily believe that inventory is as tight as some believe. If you persevere and talk / email enough dealers I think you can get what you want.
There are a few threads if you search on how people go about it. Even for 350s and 550s - decent deals can be had. Search baldmike.
Maybe expand your search - email a bunch of dealers with the specs you want, tell them you will buy whoever comes back with the buy from whoever gives the best price and you won't be going back around again. Even if out of state - take a print out of the best deal to one of your local dealers and tell them you are ready to buy. I bet you can get something decent.

Mercedes Benz North Olmsted Ohio.......Allan Goldstein 888-293-1540. I just took delivery of 2015 GL 350 which I special ordered in early September. He has a couple of GL's in stock and also has a 2014 GL 550 loaded with 8900 miles that was a demo. Tell Allan that Dale T. referred you.

2015 - GL 550
I just took the delivery of 2015 GL550 yesterday and paid $8000.00 off MSRP and also took the 3Yr 100k Mercedes (ELW) warranty for $2950.00....
I felt I got a good deal.....
