In that case I guess it's in the drivetrain..i.e. Torque converter due to poor dampening or lock-up, internal transmission operation or transfer case...

You are probably right. I can't get the dealer to do anything about it. They think they have done all they can - short of swapping major components, and they are not going to do that. ESCALADE?

I am so sorry for the loss you had done by paying and still not satisfied.I am new here on this forum.though I will suggest what happened to me was exactly same thing and I had not paid that much and had not been at dealership for that many times.
my 2013 Gl 450 started vibrating and I could feel much worse on a lower rpms or idle on a red light.headed to mechanic few times .but long story short"no Fix"finally found out spark plugs were misfiring and still there was no light on .no engine light nothing.changed ignition coil and spark plugs and current engine filter which was not that dirty but still I changed.now I drove almost 13k miles after that.there is no vibration.I cannot say you have same problem but after attempting all resources that you have done.it doesn't hurt giving it a try.

I have same symptoms like the thread starter,vibrates at idle and this fan noise or something that i cant figure out where its coming from.
Any updates on this?
