Redesign- 2019
I hope the 2019 redesign dash will be like what is being planned for the E-Class.

2024 GLS450, Previously 2020 GLS450, 2017 GLS450, 2014 GL450, 2012 GL450
I hope it's better than that. Because that is using the design of the S-class, and by 2019, that design wouldve been 6 yrs old.

I would guess the 2019 model would receive a dash similar to the upcoming E class refresh. It will likely be a digital dash by then.

It will be interesting to see how things progress with the new model nomenclature. While the M and GL have shared the interior in the past, one could speculate the following intuitive conclusion:

GLC has same interior as C Class
GLE has same interior as E Class
GLS has same interior as S Class

Good point Jim and I would hope the 2019 GLS interior shares its look and feel with the S-Class. This is the one area that I'm not complete happy with. The current GL interior is a little cheap in places. The black plastic seat buttons, the outdated COMMAND system, and the NAV maps that look 10 years old. More and more customers are becoming tech savvy and the electronics package needs to demonstrate MB as a leader. The mid-cycle refresh best support Apple's CarPlay or MB will hear from a number of buyers. To my knowledge, not a single MB supports CarPlay at this time. Be a leader MB!

JoeMa - Search Ebay for the seat buttons - I put on the brushed silver ones in 5 minutes. They look really nice and are plug and play.

We have to remember that the M GLE and GLS will be made in Alabama and so far Mercedes hasn't put anything all that advanced in that plant. In my M class I see some small faults in what they have done in Alabama versus my E from Germany.
