Defrosting the Side Mirrors???

Defrosting the Side Mirrors???
I have looked and looked and cannot find how to turn on the heat for the exterior side mirrors.
Searched the manual, the internet, this forum. I bet the answer is simple, so now I am outright asking. Thanks in advance for the guidance.

Steve - Per the manual. Took me a couple keyword searches to find. Searching for "heated" took me right to it.
The exterior mirrors are heated automatically
if the rear window defroster is switched on
and the outside temperature is low.

Well, I guess I searched for mirrors, external, defrost, etc. I even tried doing it in the GL using the COMAND. Thanks for the information.
So, even if the rear is clear, to clear the side mirror, heat the rear window. I guess they saved the need for another button. :-)
Similar to the headlamp washers only going on every fifth time you clean the windshield. Interesting logic!
