New GL550 Owner Questions about Gracenote and Wipers
Hiya all, this is my first Mercedes (coming from Lexus). Bought a 2015 GL550 Black/Black and had some questions about things.
First question: I like to download music to my phone from Spotify (so I don't use data). I had an issue today where it played but the time of the track said something like 2hrs and 45 min and when I changed tracks, it refused to change the name to the new track. I believe it works fine with just using a normal mp3 program on my phone.
Second question: I used the rain sensing wipers the other day when it was raining and it seemed like it could not make up its mind on the speed. It would stay at one speed for a few minutes then all of a sudden go nuts at the fastest speed (even though my speed or rain amount had not changed). I plan on taking the car in for service this Thursday to talk with someone about it. It sounds like its about to rain right now and if it does I was gonna pull my car into the driveway to test the wipers again.
But is there anything I need to look out for? I tried using a spray bottle on the triangle behind the rear view mirror and it worked fine.
Any help or anything to bring up to the dealership would be wonderful. Thanks!

1) Push the "i" button above the rear view mirror to connect you to the Product Concierge - verify you are setup for the 3-month free trial 24/7 Concierge + 6 months SOS Services. That free trial gives you 24/7 to a product specialist.
2) Visit www.mbusa.com and in the Owner's section in the upper right corner and down
load a pdf copy of your Owner's manual
3) You have a abbreviated version of the Owner's Manual in your MB Comand App's.

My wipers act right most of the time on my 2015 450. Sometimes they behave as you describe, but much less often than my 2010 E550. When I first got my E, they were really bad until the dealer did an update of all the car's software (firmware?). It improved but was still not great.
My GL got a COMAND update pretty quickly after I received it. The dealer was quite anxious to get it done. i don't know if it affected the wipers, but like I said mine do it right most of the time.
I use Spotify the same way you do on trips. I've never encountered that. I use the Bluetooth connection because I like to use Google Maps (the MB navi is a crying shame) so I can't put the phone in the glovebox for media interface (why did they design it like that?). How do you connect your phone?
