I love my 2016 gl350
Illuminated Running Boards
How does it work?
My MB Dealer just installed illuminated Running Boards, the light is on only when I stop the car and open the door to get off. It lights for about 20 seconds then it turns off. If the car is in the garage and I open the car door the Running Board's light does not come on.
Is this how it supposed to work?
What is your experience?

But common sense tells me it should also light if you open the door manually.
Does anyone out there have the same issue?

Mine light up when I open the door (without locking).
