Installing MBCA badge on X166 grille
It was relatively easy to install the MBCA badge on my X164. It's a little more difficult to reach the backside of the grille on the X166. So I decided to install the badge on the driver side grille cover. This cover does not have an open cross-hatch so it was necessary to drill two holes to mount the badge.
It's fairly easy to pop the cover off. The passenger side cover has two sensors mounted behind it. One is a parking sensor and I think the second one is a radar sensor. The driver side only has a parking sensor towards the inboard side. So I mounted the badge favoring the outboard side.
I mounted the MBCA badge with the bottom two points of the star "parallel" to the bottom edge of the cover. If I did this again I would have turned the badge slightly clockwise so that the top point would aim straight up when the cover was re-installed.
