Which AMG 21's? If you're talking about the 21"x10" with 46mm offset, they will fit all GL's (350/450/550/63) just fine with or without AMG fenders. Yes, it will look more aggressive (stick out farther), but it's not huge and some might prefer it.
That's why H&R is in business selling spacers. If you put spacers on, it'll be way too far out. It'll clear your brake calipers for sure since they're even smaller than the GL550 and Gl63.
