Back cargo compartment - means there is a "key lock" in the flat/floor handle for the spare tire compartment..

No problem. Maybe you can retrofit a handle insert with a lock?

It is both the "lock" - and I think for the GLS450 it also adds the insert "tray"

Does the tray insert came with your 13 GL450? I thought only the GL 350 has them, if it did not where did your order?

My 2017 GLS has the tray insert but no lock.

My dealer is looking into what options I have. It's a special order item.

Sorry for resurrecting a very old post. 2 questions, did anyone figure out what all you need to change the handle to a locking one, from the looks of the handle looks like there might just be a replacement insert and a lock tumbler? the lock tumbler is $162 and has to be ordered from dealer to match your key.

The other question.. My GLS550 didn't come with the tray, does it fit with the "Donut" style spare tire?
