20" vs. 22" Ride Quality
Hello all. I've currently got the 20" factory wheels on a GL450. I'm personally not the biggest fan of the wheels and am considering going to the AMG 21" or some sort of 22".
Does anyone have any insight on the ride quality on the 22"? I understand it will be stiffer, but any insight on how much stiffer? I love the ride of the GL and don't want to have a major change if possible.

If you go 285/40/22 or 305/40/22 ride quality will be fine.
My wife has no complaints on either. I would go 305/40/22, lot of sidewall.

I bought a set of 22"x10", 50 offset AMG replica wheels off ebay and tried both 295/40-22 and 305/40-22 tires. The 305/40-22 has a better look and there are many more choices. There is a slight amount of rubbing at the front of the wheelwell in off-camber driveways, but nothing to worry about.
