Ambient Lighting normal?

Does my LED strip for ambient light along glove box look normal? It's always been this way, but the inconsistency makes me believe possibly an LED is out somewhere on the strip or maybe it's supposed to look that way. I've never looked at another GL to compare, so I don't know if the lighting is supposed to uniformly run along the length of the dash, or just at one corner and very dim along glove box and visible again under center stack area.

That is not normal----the light should be uniform all along the length under the wood trim on the dash.

Thanks for the quick replies. I'll take it in to see if they can replace that LED strip. The A/C vent fins on driver's side is also broken and needs to be fixed too anyways...these things are made cheap or flawed in design or something- I had one of the rear center console vent replaced because the adjuster broke just like this.

On another topic, I forgot to include in original post- Is the spare kit suppose to come with the short bolts to mount the spare? Long story short, I had a flat and found out the hard way the spare kit had everything except the short bolts to mount the spare. Also found out Mercedes Roadside proved to be worthless (never came after playing phone tag with them and the closest dealer they patched me to), plugged the flat myself with a plug kit that was donated by a good samaritan, and also had to use the samaritan's jack (for a Chevy Sunfire!) to put the plugged wheel back on because the oem jack is flimsy and gave out, causing the GL to drop on the rotor. I'll bring this up as well, if the kit is supposed to include the short bolts.. Thanks again for the quick replies...

ETA: Lone Star, is there an MB dealer you recommend in Houston or have experience with? I've been to MB North for the broken rear A/C vent, and experience was eh, ok. I found out they and MB Greenway are owned by AutoNation, if that has anything to do with it. I heard good things about MB Sugarland, but it is about 30 minutes from me...

We bought it from MB Sugarland and they have been great thus far. It's only been in for one service(only done about 12k miles so far), so I don't have a lot of experience with their service department. But they were great throughout the ordering/purchasing process and with my limited experience their service department seems good too.

Nope, like others have said, it should be uniform all the way across to the metal insert on the center dash.

Thanks for the confirmation about the ambient light. I'll bring that up when I take the GL in, hopefully next week after the holiday weekend.

Also, if anyone know about the spare tire short bolts...is it supposed to come in the styrofoam tray with the spare kit?

That is correct, went and took a pic for you (they're inside the bag):

Thanks Neurobit, the two pictures are much appreciated. My spare kit definitely does not have the short bolts in it. I'll probably bring the GL in tomorrow and see if I can get the short bolts, and also see if they can fix/replace the broken A/C vent and also LED ambient strip by the glove box.
