360 degree camera controller
There is now a plug in unit that will give you control of your 360 degree camera. (This is only for cars that already have the 360 degree camera factory option)
This unit gets hooked up to a power, a ground and the can bus and that's it. Once it is hooked up it gives you the ability to-

- Turn your camera on with your steering wheel buttons.
- Set your camera to come on automatically below 5 M.P.H.
- Turn your camera on anytime you shift into Drive, not just after coming from Reverse.
- It comes with an analog trigger that can be combined with a curb alert system to turn the camera on when your front bumper gets close to an obstacle.

I looked on your website and couldn't find anything about this unit. I have a 2015 GL 550 with 360 camera and am interested in purchasing the unit. Is it easy to install? Sounds simple from your description. How can I go about ordering it?
Thanks
Thanks

Interesting. I have a 2015 GL. I have not been in a GLS as of yet and don't know what that button does. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
If it is the new SYS button replacement then it is just for settings such as clock, etc.

oh ok that may be the case. See the car button on the GLS in this pic below the screen, just above the green phone button. You can zoom up closer if needed.

On your 2015 GL, try pressing the 'SYS' button and holding it and see what happens.

That is an interesting find. However I set that same 360 view up as a favorite (the star button next to the rotary control dial). That view doesn't give me much info. I want the split view like when you put the vehicle in reverse and you get the overhead view as well as the 360 view. This module is supposed to provide that view without stopping the vehicle, shifting into reverse and then back into drive. Without much help from Midcity I figured out where there are two screws under a rubber mat at the floor of the console that lifts out with a knife under an edge. Then there are 4 screws that hold the enmities center console that allow you to lift the console to then easily route the cable under the console. Under dash connection is easy. 3 screws then drop the cover and plug in. My last step is to figure out the positive, negative and ground in the wiring harness in the center console.

Remove larger silver screws to lift rear of entire console
Remove silver screws in cubby under A/C controls. Remove rubber pad to access these 2 screws. After removing all 4 screws you can lift the console and slide it toward the rear of the vehicle to allow routing the cable
Lift the front flap at the base of the console to route the cable
Cable routed.
End of cable in the console that plugs into the control module
Cable end that plugs into the CAN under the glove box. Remove 3 screws and drop the panel
CAN plug right front corner under the glove box
Tucking the cable under the panel
Cable under glove box before reattaching panel

Big white plug is the MB wiring harness I'll need to figure out which wires to connect positive, negative and ground.

I've buttoned it up for tonight. I'll post connecting power and how it works when I've completed the task.
