New GL550 Owner & Questions
Hi. New GL550 owner here. Just picked up a 2014 in Steel Grey with black leather and 32k miles. Love it! I made the mistake of test driving a x166 550 when my 2012 GL450 was being serviced. No turning back. I resisted test driving the GL63 for my own mental well being and now trying to resist the urge to tune my 550.
Selling my 2012 Gl450 in Palladium Silver on black MBTex now. Has 47k on the clock and is in great condition. I'll put the autotrader ad link in the x164 area.
Questions:
1) Is it better to get warranty earlier or wait until the factory warranty is nearly up? Best place to get one. In the past I purchased Rte 66 warranties through credit unions.
2) Any good options for phone mounts.
3) Best module to unlock the front DVD

on GLC300 #2, a 2022 CPO purchased b/c I really dislike the X254's UI (GL350 before those)

3. If you have a CPO car, you have unlimited mileage coverage that ends only with time (the initial 4 year bumper coverage followed by 1 year CPO), and you may extend that CPO time by 2 years. Buy it within 30 days of registration or date of car purchase as recorded by MB to avoid an official MB delay upcharge - although I read at least one post that claimed his seller did not upcharge, but I can't verify that.
4. CPO extension may be refunded in full if you don't use it and, for example, sell or (heaven forbid) total the car before it kicks in.
