I recently received a solicitation from my dealer. It was mailed as a card, with with my name/address, and my full Vin # splashed on both sides of the card. The card showed an estimated value for my '14 GL550 ($46K), and an offer to trade up to a '17 GLS550 for another $60K. I'm curious how others on the forum would react - in my case, I fired back an email to the dealer expressing displeasure that my name/address/vin#/my vehicle's estimated value would appear on a card for any eyes to see, and secondly expressed my concern that my vehicle had depreciated 55% after 3 years. That was 2 weeks ago, and the dealer has not responded. Was I over reacting?

i think you are overreacting. these happen pretty often, i have received a lot of cards or letters asking me to renew lease or so time after time. and around 50% depreciation after 3 years, i think that's pretty normal for mercedes
