Lighted star
I picked up a 2014 with the illuminated star. I was only able to get it to light 1 time. Before I take it back to the dealer is there a way to turn it on?
I have no idea what I did to get it lit. Driving me nuts that I can't get it to light. Obviously I know that it might be defective. Just want to make sure I'm not overlooking a button or something.
Thank you

"Early" Illuminated Stars were not Fed approved as running lights - and flash when locking/unlocking your Mercedes - OP on your 14 see if this is the case with your GL.
Later - when Illuminated Star was Fed approved as running light - then you have all-time illumination at night with headlights.
If I remember correctly - 14 for GL was "split" year - early were not Fed running light - later were Fed running light.
I "think" there may be a MB wiring kit for current Fed running light function.

I wish they would figure out the engineering so that you could have both distronic and the illuminated star. And I wish the star in the rear illuminated. It was a matter of time before manufacturers did this... if you're going to bother having these brand logos, why not illuminate them when it's dark?
