Crosscontact UHP- all season?
This tire is rated a summer truck tire but it has an M&S rating. I am totally confused as to whether or not this is an all season tire or not. Any help is much appreciated.

Tirerack is actually where it is rated a summer tire and also M&S- so is there something I missed there?

Several Original Equipment (O.E.) sizes are branded with the M+S symbol to identify they meet all-season design standards and are suitable for driving in occasional light snow. These sizes are identified as M+S on the tire's Specs tab.

Thanks. I did see that but it seems like a contradiction that a summer tire would have a M&S rating but guess it is all season then.

i don't think it is considered all season. From the desc, it is mainly a summer tire. But in light snow dusting, it may be ok for short drive. I wouldn't drive a summer tire in below freezing temperature for sure.

I think the language is clear. If you want a true all-season tire, as I did, then purchase a true all-season tire. I chose the Conti DWS06 and have not had any issues.

I don't recommend DWS' they were nothing but trouble on my wifes c230 sport. Every year or so one would need to be replaced because of sidewall bubbles. Also, the wear was pretty quick. She would wear down to the "s" (snow) of DWS in about 1.5 years.
It took us about 3 years to realize we were sending back or ordering new tires like Amazon.com packages.
But as far as ride, they were quiet and well manured in dry and wet except in emergency slalom situations.

The GL has very few "good" choices of tires, especially in the 21" size. The DWS is probably the best all around tire. I have had the Conti's, the Pirelli's and the DWS's. Conti's are terrible in the winter, the Pirelli's are loud and heat up too much in the summer and wear fast, and the DWS's are good in the winter and good in the summer. Don't wear too fast and aren't too loud. IMHO

Although I'm not a Pirelli fan I got 33k miles out of the OEM Pirellis and could've stretched another 5k miles out of them. Had no issues whatsoever.

Last fall I put new tires on my GL model yr. 2015 with 20" wheels. The DWS was not an available choice as far as I could tell. Ended up with Michelins and so far they perform well.

So, looks like Costco is out. Tirerack does not have the DWS nor Michelin LTX either

edit ... I checked again this morning and Tirerack does have it available now for the Michelin LTX.

I ended up at Discount Tire. Ordered the Michelin LTX on their website. Within 30 minutes I received a phone call from my local Discount Tire store manager. He located the tires in Dallas. Asked me for a $40 deposit which I gave him. Had the tires installed about 10 days later. They had the best price and their service was first class. Overall a good experience.

Looks like Discount Tire / Michelin is also having a $70 mail-in rebate for Michelins as well, good until Mar 18. I've 25k miles in the Pirelli Scorpion Verde. When I got the CPO when it was at 16k miles, the thread was still good. I thought it could easily get more miles out of them. Almost 10k miles later, I won't want to drive them over snow/winter. Fortunately it is almost Spring/Summer season now.
Wish I could buy them from Costco still though. Or even the DWS in 20" as an option.

Honestly, i only drove on them for a Day before commencing a 4 week international trip. I should know more at the end of April. Buy I've had these tires on my second car for a while and they are absolutely neutral in all driving conditions I've encountered thus far. I couldn't ask for more from an all season tire.

I've had great experiences using the site https://www.tires-easy.com/ everything comes really quick and the prices are some of the best I've seen. At this point probably ordered 3-4 sets of tires for various vehicles from there. Side note just joined the forum 1st post ha, looking to get a 2018 GTR
