How to get ahold of a vehicle master inquiry?
Hi All,
I purchased a 2015 CPO GL recently and I'm dubious about whether the oil was changed as claimed on the CPO printout. The oil looked extremely dirty when I checked it after getting the car home.
Is there any way to get a copy of the VMI that might show what maintenance might have actually been undertaken pre sale?

I'm friends with one of the tech who works for a Mercedes dealer here in NYC. He told me that that dealer slaps a CPO on the cars that they don't really do a CPO process. He mentioned that they don't get paid for doing such jobs and the owner's attitude is "we have a service department, let them bring it in if they have issues".

Well... actually in the CPO process - it's the tech who has to complete each service line item - and the tech needs to complete each inspection point - and all is recorded in the NetStar system before Mercedes issues CPO...
So... if a tech is cheating the system ... then that's something that the dealer needs to know about..

The VMI shows all of the service that has been completed, remaining warranty and all of the options. The MSRP on shows the standard equipment and options.
The VMI isn't always private, many dealers have it in the "auto packet"(which includes the VMI and MSRP) on their used car sales listings.

I use this ,it tell me of all the options my car has same as what the dealer has
