Can Keyless Go be added to 2013 GL?

the car I'm looking to buy has keyless entry and the convenience of pressing the unlock button on the key fob and all windows open, but the keyfob must be inserted into ignition ... is the car already programmed for keyless go and I just add that "button"?

Try aeroworks (if your based in LA) otherwise anything can be added to the car, just a matter of if your willing to spend for it

In my opinion Keyless is a plus sometimes but not a necessary need, sometimes out of habit i take the key out of my pocket and put it in the switch only to remember theres a button there hahaha. The plus you can keep key in pocket and open/close and start/stop the car

A gaggle of MB's
Let's clarify this a bit - if you are in US - and the GL will lock/unlock with the door handles - they have small embossed rectangle on the painted strip of the handle - then your car has KeyLess Go - which for 2013 included Keyless Start - and you would just need to buy a MB Keyless Go button for the ignition which is like $35-$60.

If your doors ONLY lock and unlock with the buttons on the key fob - then you do NOT have Keyless Go.

2014 GL 450
Thanks!

This post helped me out as well. I just picked up a 2014 GL450. No button over the ignition when I picked up the car. Didn't think too much of it. Later, I noticed the dash would continuously remind me to take my keys when I turned off the car. I thought that was strange - if I turned the car off and removed the key from the ignition, I probably have my keys in my hand. Seemed a little unnecessary.

Then I noticed a couple of days later that the doors unlocked when I grabbed the handle without using the key fob. I started looking into the keyless system and came across this post.

Thank you so much for posting this additional info fabbrisd1! I picked up a button for my car off Amazon (emailed seller first to confirm fit), popped it in, and it worked immediately.

A tip. Because the sensor to unlock is behind the handle, and the sensor to lock is that little rectangle in front of the handle, if you attempt to grab the handle bar to unlock, sometimes you may touch that little rectangle and causes the car to lock again. A few times I did that in the beginning, it confuses the car in the sense the exterior mirror moves to the open position (meaning it thinks it is unlocked) but the car door remains locked (the driver side which I'm trying to open). All the other doors are unlock. If I try immediately to unlock again, it doesn't work because I think it thinks it is already unlocked. So I have to lock and unlock again.

So now I simply just insert my hand/fingers behind the handle bar just before I grab the handle and it has worked out for me.
