Mercedez dealer wants $365 for a remote for rear entertainment system. Any recommendations to look anywhere else? cheaper?

You can look on eBay for the remote - make sure the replacement is is the same same remote model# - depending on what model year GL - the new remote may require Star coding to sync with your entertainment system.

You can call your dealer to check - if you have the correct remote - the dealer will need to sync that remote thru the dealer Star system for your 2015

While I love my GL........this is yet another example of M Benz sticking it to the customer! Outrageous price for an item that costs a fraction of the asking price.

I'm glad I insisted on a replacement for the missing remote when we negotiated our used GL450 purchase last week. (And a second key)

I purchase my remote from ebay along with 2 headphones. The dealer programmed the headphones.

so if you are only doing remote no need of coding but if you are doing headphones coding is required.

I ended up buying one from Ebay with right part number for $85
